The object is an apartment with a total area of about 100 sq. m. for a family of four: two adults and two school-age children. The task set by the customer was to create an interior in the style of minimalism (a minimum of furniture, decor and open surfaces), combining conciseness, convenience, functionality and elegance. A special request was the use of blue-green shades in the interior. It was also necessary to provide for proper zoning, a system of multi-level lighting, to use simple, laconic forms, simple and clear geometry throughout. The customers already had a planning solution from other designers, but it did not suit them, and therefore our studio had the important task of finding and implementing the best planning solution of all!
SOLUTION
What was done:
Zoning the apartment space into 2 blocks: a living room, kitchen and parents' bedroom block and a children’s block with its own bathroom;
The space of the entrance area with a dressing room has been designed in such a way that a dividing corridor is formed, physically separating the kitchen-living room from the children’s rooms;
Dividing the kitchen-living room into two conventional zones: wet and storage areas;
A master bedroom with its own wardrobe and bathroom has been planned;
Using a light gray tones in a warm gray shade in the interior with the addition of blue-green accent elements;
Adding black graphic elements to the interior, which gives greater laconicism, but at the same time maintains the overall rigor and simplicity of the design;
The emphasis in design is on decorative materials, namely the use of travertine and wood shades;
The use of a large number of lamps and lighting scenarios, namely: soft track lighting, accent lighting of certain areas, the use of additional lighting in furniture with various backlight variations;
The design of children’s rooms is not clearly linked to the age of the child due to the lack of a typical theme in the design
